Kabul Airport (KBL) is 16km (10 miles) from the city. 
Taxis are available to the city centre (travel time - 30 minutes). 
Airport facilities include a bank, buffet-bar, car park, post office 
and restaurant (0700-2400). Airport facilities in Kabul have been 
expanded and new airports have been built near the border.
 At the time of writing, the airport was closed and all flights 
were being directed to a military airbase in Kabul.
